Neural therapy is a medical method used for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases originating from the autonomic nervous system.

Many conditions that cannot be treated with traditional methods are often linked to dysfunctions in the autonomic nervous system.

Local disruptions known as interference fields can trigger the autonomic nervous system through electrophysiological irregularities and abnormal neurological signals. Interference fields may occur after physical or psychological trauma. For example, surgical scars or the loss of a loved one can be such triggers.

The autonomic nervous system reacts to these interference fields, causing discomfort in distant parts of the body. For instance, a cesarean scar can be the source of prolonged lower back pain.

A significant portion of patients who undergo surgery or use medication may have interference fields. Therefore, these fields should be investigated in many painful syndromes related to the autonomic nervous system.

WHAT CONDITIONS CAN BE TREATED WITH NEURAL THERAPY?

  • Neck, back, and lower back pain
  • Neck and lumbar herniation
  • Knee, hip, and shoulder pain
  • Ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia
  • Rheumatic diseases
  • Circulatory disorders in the legs
  • Facial paralysis, Trigeminal neuralgia

HOW DOES NEURAL THERAPY WORK?

Neural therapy uses diluted (0.4%–0.5%) procaine or lidocaine (local anesthetics). It is applied to painful areas, the spine chain, and interference fields causing the illness.

The aim of this therapy is to restore the irregularities caused by interference fields at the cellular level. The anesthetic substance (procaine or lidocaine) adjusts the cell's electrical potential, normalizing impaired tissue functions.

The treatment effect lasts longer than the expected impact of the local anesthetic, and repeated sessions eliminate the influence of the interference field, facilitating recovery.

DOES NEURAL THERAPY HAVE SIDE EFFECTS?

Neural therapy has been used in Western countries for approximately 100 years. Since the local anesthetics are derived from natural sources like nettle and bitter almonds, it is considered a natural treatment method. The only potential side effect is allergic reactions in individuals sensitive to these substances.

HOW MANY SESSIONS OF NEURAL THERAPY ARE REQUIRED?

Neural therapy is a stimulation-regulation treatment. It is applied 2–3 times a week.

The number of sessions varies for each patient due to factors like the severity of the condition, the number of interference fields in the body, and individual healing capabilities.

Neural therapy typically starts showing effects between the 1st and 5th sessions. The extent of the effect provides insight into the total number of sessions required.

WHO CAN RECEIVE NEURAL THERAPY?

Neural therapy can be applied to patients of all ages, including children and the elderly.
Conditions like hypertension, diabetes, heart diseases, and medications used by the patient are not obstacles to the therapy.
However, the effectiveness of the therapy may decrease in patients using corticosteroids, as their bodies are suppressed.
For patients on blood thinners like coumadin, caution is needed for certain applications. Generally, skin-based applications are safe.
