Ozone therapy has 33 different methods defined according to various diseases. Some of the methods we use clinically include:
Ozone Therapy, Major Autohemotherapy: In this method, a needle is inserted into a large vein, similar to taking blood for testing. Approximately 100-150 ml (about a tea cup size) of blood is drawn into a sterile blood bag or vacuum bottle, ozonated with an equal amount of ozone-oxygen mixture, and then slowly returned to the same vein. This method is the fundamental technique of ozone therapy and should be applied to every patient whenever possible. The procedure takes approximately 15 minutes.
In this method, 2-3 ml of blood is drawn from the same vein where major therapy was performed, ozonated with the same amount of ozone-oxygen mixture, and then injected directly into the muscle. This method is not applied in every session, but we consider applying it once every three sessions, depending on the disease.
This method is not as difficult or uncomfortable as one might think. A very thin tube is inserted into the rectum to administer the ozone-oxygen mixture. Despite sounding uncomfortable, we have seen excellent results when applying this method for certain diseases. Ozone gas is absorbed through the intestines and enters the bloodstream, functioning similarly to Major Autohemotherapy. If there are vascular problems, we may prefer this method as it is just as effective as Major Autohemotherapy.
This method, used for certain specific diseases, involves placing a thin tube into the vagina, through which ozone-oxygen mixture is administered. It is used in the treatment of some gynecological diseases.
In this method, ozone-oxygen mixture is directly administered to the ears through a stethoscope-like device. The ozone-oxygen mixture passes through the semi-permeable eardrum, causing the blood vessels in the area to dilate. It also eliminates infections in the middle ear, sinuses, nose, and throat.
Ozone gas directly inhaled can harm the lungs. Therefore, ozone cannot be inhaled directly. To benefit from the healing effects of ozone on the respiratory system, ozone reacts with fats to form a gas called ozol, which is inhaled through the nose via a special system.
Bagging is a very special method where ozone-oxygen mixture is applied to specific areas of the body by placing hands, arms, legs, or feet in special bags. Ozone gas does not work on damp areas, so the area to be treated should be wetted with ozonated water, serum, or oxygenated water. Depending on the disease, the affected area is treated with ozone-oxygen mixture for 15-30 minutes.
The ozone-oxygen mixture is drawn into special syringes and injected directly into the affected muscle area. This method is used to alleviate pain in conditions such as neck hernia, lumbar disc hernia, and various muscle pains. It is highly effective.
This method is used in skin diseases. It involves injecting the ozone-oxygen mixture into the skin or subcutaneous tissue using small, fine needles, and is also used in the treatment of conditions like cellulite, acne, scars, and stretch marks.
This method involves the application of ozone-oxygen mixture inside a specially designed sauna, allowing the mixture to be absorbed through the skin. It is effective in eliminating harmful and toxic substances from the body, aiding in weight loss, cellulite treatment, chronic fatigue syndrome, muscle pains, and some skin conditions. An ozone sauna can help lose about 600 calories in 30 minutes. Harmful and toxic substances that the kidneys usually eliminate throughout the day are expelled through sweating in just half an hour of ozone sauna.
This method, applied mainly to the knee joint but also to other joints, involves injecting small amounts of ozone-oxygen mixture into the joint using short or long needles, depending on the joint. It helps to clean harmful substances inside the joint, increases blood flow, and reduces cartilage degradation, thus alleviating pain.
This method involves the use of special round, flexible cups and a vacuum device. It is often applied to body parts where bagging cannot be used. It is helpful in cleaning and improving circulation in areas with chronic wounds or poor blood flow. The procedure can cause some discomfort but is effective in treating stubborn inflammatory areas.
